Oren Liebermann: Houthis Show They ‘Won’t Back Down’ With Deadliest Saudi Airport Attack in Years

RUSH EXCERPT:

LIEBERMANN: "This is now the latest in what has become a string of Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, and in particular, on this airport in riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The Houthis are showing a willingness here to escalate and also showing that they won‘t back down, even if Saudi is backing the internationally recognized government in Yemen as it tries to retake territory from the Houthis. In many ways, this is analogous to what we‘re seeing between the U.S. and Iran. Iran doesn‘t have the military that the U.S. does in the same way the Houthis don‘t have the military capabilities that the Saudis do. And yet that doesn‘t mean they‘re weak or don‘t have ways of attacking the Saudis.”
