President Trump trying to do what he can to bring down diesel prices three weeks before the midterm election. But critics of the deal say that, one, Russia isn‘t able to provide enough diesel to make a meaningful effect on those prices. And two, that lifting sanctions on Russian diesel will just have the effect of giving Putin an economic lifeline as his war in Ukraine drags on.
