AL THANI: “Well, I think the entire world is under pressure, including Iran. Now, if we — if we are just going to weigh the pressure, who’s, like, have the pressure more? The whole region is under the same pressure as Iran, by the way. The blockade is, yes, imposed on Iran, but also there’s a blockade that’s imposed on us as Gulf countries. My country especially, it’s — we cannot get ships out. It’s very difficult, very challenging. You have seen that the Strait has been insecure and this is unacceptable. The Strait has been always an international waterway, and this is becoming like a global problem. The world needs to come together to address this issue because currently it’s an issue that’s been used in this war, which is unacceptable, but for us, in order to protect our people and to protect the future generation, we should put an end for this manipulation and this blackmailing of the waterways.”
