UK Chancellor: ‘Two Thirds’ of Young British Adults ‘Never Had a Job’

HEALEY: “So let me turn to that third, investment innovation jobs. Let me take to third, that third driver of growth, our nation's workforce. We're underusing the huge potential of Britain's workers. The number of young people, like 16 to 24, now not in education, employment or training. It rose after Covid before the election, nearly 1 million now. Two thirds have never had a job. And on top of that, too many of those of all ages that are in work are in jobs that don't pay enough or without the skills and opportunities to be able to get on, to move up.”
