GAY: “Well, on top of that, many Americans voted for Trump because of his promise to end foreign wars. And so a lot of those voters are thinking to themselves, what's happening here? We have been had. We've been duped. I've talked to some of these voters. They don't understand why Trump is involving himself in really pernicious ways into conflict like Iran when it's American people who are suffering. You know, Americans are making that connection between the money that we are spending abroad and the money that's coming out of their pocket, whether that's, you know, at the gas pump or at the grocery store. These connections are visceral for the American people.”
