Frank Kendall on Iran’s Threats to Strike US Navy Over Blockade: It‘s Becoming Clear That Neither Side Can Benefit Much from This Conflict
‘We‘re playing an interesting game here of trying to get to some kind of a settlement, using some level of coercion’
EXCERPT:
KENDALL: “We're playing an interesting game here of trying to get to some kind of a settlement using some level of coercion back and forth, threats of coercion by both sides. It's been in the interest of both parties to cut a deal and to get this thing over with. Hopefully, I think at this point I may be cautiously optimistic. We've had so many false hopes before, but I think it's becoming increasingly clear that neither side can really benefit much from continuing this conflict.”
