Gen. Jack Keane on Iran: They Could Continue the One-Off Operations, or Return to ‘Major Combat Operations’
RUSH EXCERPT:
KEANE: "Yes I think so. The facts and pretty much are PR for themselves. We stop a conflict on April 7 after 30 days we had about two more weeks to go with the military objective. The Israeli and U.S. To accomplish the mission we began negotiations on April the eighth largely because the Iranians had made an overture to us that they were willing to talk about opening it up. The negotiation phase produced a memorandum of understanding and produced a lot of talks and conclusions and aspirations. But here wehere we are almost fo now are we in the closer to a deal on Strait of Hormuz? I think not and that’s pretty obvious. Imperative is that nuclear enterprise itself per were not anywhere closer to that that. It is obvious the Iranians are not going to make a deal that would satisfy the administration even if they did they will not comply with it. That is got to be the obvious conclusion the administration’s got to come to so what could they do now? They could continue the one off operations to admiral cooper is doing in retaliation to Iran sometimes three nights sometimes a one night or we could return to major combat operations. If you do the analysis and argued strongly for Israel in the United States to come back to that military table and conduct major combat operations. That would involve more massive operation that what epic fury it was. Why is that we have more intelligence about targets we have a larger scale of targets to conduct it would be 24/7 but during the daytime, at night, day in and day out until the objectives are clearly accomplished I think that is what is in front of us. I would add to that, we should be aggressively conducting covert operations with the CIA and the mossad to do two things but one undermine the regime as it begins to have intense pressure put on it and to, assist the ironic people in terms of the resistance."
