Hans Nichols on Trump: He Wants to Strike Iran, But There Are Some Regulators on It, and One Is the ‘Market’
RUSH EXCERPT:
NICHOLS: "The president said “we will be hitting them hard. So I don’t think that anyone would be surprised if there are strikes with Iran an potentially with Israel over the weekend. We don’t know the scope ended the duration. In some reporting from CBS and/or others has indicated that the Trump Administration wants to be over by the weekend. Now that is a difficult runway. That is a short period to have exceedingly harsh strikes, as some of the reporting is suggesting, but also to have it end so quickly. Potentially before markets open up on Sunday. So this is the challenge that the president finds himself in. He wants to strike Iran an let them know that he means business, but there are also some regulators on it. Ended one of those regulators is the market."
