Michelle Goldberg Slams Trump Over Iran: The Political Scene Is Really Underreacting to the Scale of the National Humiliation
EXCERPT:
GOLDBERG: “Right. So, this is — he’s doing — I mean, it is better that he displays kind of weakness and confusion, than that he tries in some manic show of strength to resume full-scale war, but because that — that sort of everybody knows that and Democrats know that. There — the political scene is really underreacting to the scale of the national humiliation. I mean, you cannot imagine if the parties were reversed and President Joe Biden or Barack Obama, you know, if Iran — if three servicemen or possibly four were killed in action during a skirmish and the president threatened some sort of retaliation and then didn’t go through with it, you cannot imagine the kind of scale of howling you would see. And so, instead, Trump is like, actually like a baby that everybody is trying not to make him have a tantrum.”
