Jeff Mason on Iran Amid Midterms: Trump Is Boxed in and Wants to Show That It Was Worth It

‘And yet he also doesn‘t want to have the economic impact and fallout’

RUSH EXCERPT:
MASON: "Well, he‘s certainly gone back and forth on Iran. And you‘ve seen that from the very beginning, from the way that he presented the war to how in during parts of the war, over the first few months, he said, it‘s not going to last long. When we ask him about how long it‘s going to last, he‘ll compare it to the vietnam war favorably, in that it‘s not as long as that one. I talked to him on Friday. I was in the Oval Office for an event and asked him about whether he had decided about this next big, massive strikes that were being reported about. And he said no, that talks had resumed, including with jd Vance and with Mr. Kushner and Stephen and Steve Witkoff. But who knows if that‘s actually the reason that he has decided to to to pull off or to back off. These concerns are certainly no doubt going into his ears, but he‘s just rejected a lot of them. Yeah, in many ways, because to your initial question and my long answer, he is boxed in and he wants to show that it was worth it. And yet he also doesn‘t want to have the economic impact and fallout."
