Nathan Sales: Iran’s Nuclear Program Is ‘Substantially Degraded’ Even Without a New Deal

‘We don’t actually need a deal in order to preserve a weakened state of the Iranian regime’

RUSH EXCERPT:

SALES: “ Works as a great point. The Iranian nuclear program to the very sorry state that it is in right now. Is it down to zero? Probably not. The situation the nuclear weapons program is in today is substantially degraded. Their centrifuges have been destroyed. Their facilities have been largely collapsed with the highly enriched uranium they built up a stockpile of since the Biden Administration is entombed. We don’t actually need a deal in order to preserve a weakened state of the Iranian regime but do not forget their nuclear engineers many of the brightest nuclear engineers are dead as well. The problem with pursuing a deal as opposed to maintaining the status quo with the threat of course the problem with the deal is a one we are going to have to give something up to get a deal. Too,two, any deal the Iranian si will start violating on day one. We know that because that’s exactly how they treated the cease-fire deal over the past month."
