Jason Riley on Dems Voting to End Aid to Israel: This Was to Reverse Course on a Memorandum Signed by Obama in 2016

‘He made a 10-year commitment to give Israel several billion dollars a year for defense purposes’

RUSH EXCERPT:
RILEY: 'Correct, correct. What struck me was that this was to reverse course on a memorandum signed by President Obama back in 2016. He made a 10 year commitment to give Israel several billion dollars a year for defense purposes. So what you had today is 100 members of the democratic caucus voting to essentially change course on a memorandum signed by President Obama. But to just how far the party is gone in a different direction over the past decade. We have seen a more more recent examples of that as well. New York City is heavily Jewish, heavily liberal city and elected mayor a man who does not think Israel should have the right to exist who does not have a problem with globalized the intifada we have seen in several primary races as well. This is piggybacking off of what bill said but there was a time when you can see on the left I oppose a Benjamin Netanyahu administration but I’m for Israel. You can no longer get away with that position. Now you need to say basically Israel is committing genocide but that’s the litmus test are being accepted on the left today."
