Nic Robertson: U.S. Is Targeting IRGC Maritime Control Points to ‘Blind’ Iran in the Strait of Hormuz

‘We‘ve seen them do that in other in other ports and along the gulf areas‘

RUSH EXCERPT:

ROBERTSON: “Yeah, they say that they‘re targeting the IRGC maritime control points. Another one was targeted on larak island, a small island in the Strait of Hormuz, sort of militarily, if you will, insignificant. But it does seem that the U.S. is trying to sort of blind, if you will, Iran to being able to see what vessels could be moving through the Strait of Hormuz. We‘ve seen them do that in other in other ports and along the gulf areas. They say they‘re targeting missile storage areas. Um, you know what we‘re hearing from the Iranians is that that key bridges and tunnels, um, are being targeted. The highway from that links bandar Abbas to the north, the sort of most direct and best highway that links that, that Strait of Hormuz port to the rest of Iran. Two bridges there about 25, 30 miles north of bandar Abbas were hit. And then five miles north of there, a tunnel was hit."
