JACKSON: “Ultimately, this goes back to the president’s number one priority, doing what is best for the United States of America, and that’s why he has played such a fundamental role in transforming the NATO alliance to one that was solely dependent on the United States, relied on us, on our spending. And now he’s shifting our allies into gear where they recognize, hey, they need to also participate in this alliance, they need to spend money too. And there is certainly more work to be done. The president is going to continue pushing our allies on this front. But ultimately, his goal is always doing what’s best for America, for the American people, and this shouldn’t surprise anyone at this point that he’s an America First president.”
