Claire McCaskill: American Military Probably Isn’t Where It Needs To Be on Drones
EXCERPT:
MCCASKILL: “One of the problems here is exposed that our American military probably isn't where it needs to be on drones. If you look what's happening in Ukraine, and you look what's happening in the Strait of Hormuz, they aren't shutting down the Strait of Hormuz by a huge minefield. Maybe because they can't, because we did clear out a lot of their mine-setting equipment in the initial barrage. But it's the speedboats and the drones that are really freezing the Strait of Hormuz. So I think when you really step back at this, I think the thing we would be saying on the Armed Services Committee is, OK, you've managed to close the Strait of Hormuz, and now you've managed to be in a position to be back exactly where we were when you tore up the JCPOA. Good job. In the process, you spent billions of taxpayer dollars, and you are now politically in a hole that you're going to have a hard time digging out from.”
