LUCE: “This, for an Iranian, a militant, even more militant Iranian regime than we had a couple of months ago, even if it is divided allegedly between moderates and hardliners, is even more of a pleasure, is even more of a bragging right and a justification for who they are and what they do than the hostage crisis, I think. Because the hostage crisis, as you say, it ended at one minute past noon in January 1981 after Reagan had been sworn in, they released them all. And then that was it for a while. But what we're seeing today is the humiliation of the United States.”
