VATANKA: “Obviously from an operational point of view, militarily, it would be a huge operation if you had to go in and take it by force. Nobody underestimates, that would be a massive undertaking. But hopefully that’s not what the United States has to do. Hopefully the next round of talks will focus on a couple key issues. One is as we just discussed the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz in a meaningful way, that the flow of traffic will go back to something like normal. The other thing is the nature of Iran’s nuclear program going forward. All sorts of suggestions including in the last round of talks in islamabad, suspending enrichment for a number of years and what happens to that enriched uranium.
