Sen. McCormick: ‘Iran Has Been a Bad Actor and Has Really American Blood on Its Hands’
‘There’s still lots of uncertainty’
EXCERPT:
MCCORMICK: "Yeah. Well, it's something that anybody that's been following these issues for very long has known that the question of Iran has been decades long, really since 1979 when there was the revolution, they took over our embassy. But in the last couple of decades, what's become clear is that Iran has been the state sponsor of terror throughout the Middle East. Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad had been underwritten by Iran and, of course, thousands of Americans. Everything from the USS Cole to the people that died from IEDs, the soldiers in Iraq, all were funded by Iran. So Iran has been a bad actor and has really American blood on its hands, but lots of blood."
