Sen. Kevin Cramer on Funding Package for the Iran War: ‘I’d Be Surprised If the U.S. Senate Didn’t Support It’

‘I’d be surprised if the administration didn’t make a request for supplemental’

RUSH EXCERPT:
CRAMER: "Obviously we’D want to hear the details and discussions are taking place, I’D be surprised if the administration didn’t make a request for supplemental and I’D be surprised if the United States Senate didn’t support it and I know we had clear partisan rhetoric and votes on things like the war powers resolution, when it comes to supporting the men and women they are fighting, the fights where the United States uniform, Republicans and Democrats are largely supportive. The administration has to make a strong case for it and it may be part of the larger package we are at that moment where we anticipate the president’s 2027 budget defense, we know it’s a large number and how that is presented, how much would be supplemental and how much would be next year’s clear budget baseline and what might be part of an aviation package, I don’t know what the price signals are clearly there and we have an industry ready to step up and by the way, deputy secretary of war war, Steve feinberg is doing an incredible job keeping this together working on reforms for acquisition and procurement putting patriotic trip on big companies as well as also it’s all hands on deck and I think it is a grand opportunity to restock with modern weapons."
