Sen. Lankford: We’re Trying to Convince Dems that ICE Is Not a Bigger Threat than Iran

BARTIROMO: “So senator, what are you going to do to get the department open?”
LANKFORD: “Well, right now it's try to convince our Democratic colleagues that ICE is not a bigger threat than Iran.”
BARTIROMO: “Yeah.”
LANFORD: “They want to be able to shut down and protect the Ayatollah at the same time they want to actually close down ICE. So it's bizarre to me, the side-by-side of this, that Iran's OK and ICE is bad. So what we're trying to do is very, very simple. Let's just do funding for FEMA, for Secret Service, for our TSA agents, for Coast Guard, for our cybersecurity professionals. Those are the folks that are all on furlough right now while literally we're at a war with Iran right now. So it is very important that we actually have all of our homeland security fully funded.”
