HEGSETH: “He made it very clear and continues to make it clear to them that Iran should not pursue and will not get nuclear weapons and that is not an American interest and certainly Israel believes it’s a threat to them and Israel took action. As this back and forth continues as I’ve said, we’ll defense our folks for the president making robustly and strongly and it’s not some sort of perspective where we’re worried or concerned and vigilant and prepare in a strong defensive posture while the president continues to say to Iran, hey, you have an option for peace.”
