Appearing on Fox & Friends Friday, the former Secretary of State dismissed the Russian president’s boasting about his country’s nuclear program.

On Thursday, Putin said, “We’ve developed new strategic weapons that don’t use ballistic trajectory at all, which means that missile defense will be useless against it.”

Rice offered no argument.

“Nobody has ever said that American missile defense could say knock down thousands of Russian missiles,” Rice said. “I told him that myself personally when I was Secretary of State. That missile defense is aimed at Iran or North Korea. Not at Russia.”
