BURNETT became emotional as ░░░░░░░░ could see you know ░░░░░░░░ to gather his thoughts ░░░░░░░░ his emotions so we ░░░░░░░░ continue He s Out ░░░░░░░░ now He is the ░░░░░░░░ serving meteorologist in South ░░░░░░░░ A reassuring presence for ░░░░░░░░ decades And John I ░░░░░░░░ grateful to have the ░░░░░░░░ to speak to you ░░░░░░░░ years as a meteorologist ░░░░░░░░ of them spent you ░░░░░░░░ being the calm face ░░░░░░░░ so many communities in ░░░░░░░░ Florida And those millibars ░░░░░░░░ you re referring to ░░░░░░░░ that clip are you ░░░░░░░░ how you measure the ░░░░░░░░ in air pressure that ░░░░░░░░ ve seen in this ░░░░░░░░ storm Obviously when you ░░░░░░░░ your sentence in that ░░░░░░░░ I m sure you ░░░░░░░░ t know exactly what ░░░░░░░░ going to happen You ░░░░░░░░ that you would be ░░░░░░░░ of overwhelmed What moved ░░░░░░░░ MORALES It just so ░░░░░░░░ that moments before going ░░░░░░░░ the air the National ░░░░░░░░ Center issued an urgent ░░░░░░░░ indicating that it had ░░░░░░░░ a Category 5 So ░░░░░░░░ was that was right ░░░░░░░░ the moment I remember ░░░░░░░░ wasn t even looking ░░░░░░░░ the camera as they ░░░░░░░░ tossing as the anchor ░░░░░░░░ tossing to me I ░░░░░░░░ looking at my computer ░░░░░░░░ eyes go wide and ░░░░░░░░ I look at the ░░░░░░░░ that they reported from ░░░░░░░░ National Hurricane Center and ░░░░░░░░ did quick math I ░░░░░░░░ had a chart in ░░░░░░░░ of me and it ░░░░░░░░ a very geeky nerdy ░░░░░░░░ to break down over ░░░░░░░░ know 50 millibars in ░░░░░░░░ hours But to a ░░░░░░░░ it means something It ░░░░░░░░ extreme rapid intensification of ░░░░░░░░ hurricane as would be ░░░░░░░░ in this new era ░░░░░░░░ we re in And ░░░░░░░░ was just a confirmation ░░░░░░░░ everything we ve been ░░░░░░░░ about for so many ░░░░░░░░ happening yet again about ░░░░░░░░ impact so many people ░░░░░░░░ so many lives So ░░░░░░░░ was just a mixture ░░░░░░░░ empathy for those people ░░░░░░░░ well as the angst ░░░░░░░░ increasingly frequent and more ░░░░░░░░ extreme weather events and ░░░░░░░░ frustration over being a ░░░░░░░░ communicator for over 20 ░░░░░░░░ and realizing you know ░░░░░░░░ is happening and we ░░░░░░░░ it was coming BURNETT ░░░░░░░░ I guess when you ░░░░░░░░ about the angst the ░░░░░░░░ the empathy I mean ░░░░░░░░ have been that face ░░░░░░░░ presence that calming presence ░░░░░░░░ you know we turn ░░░░░░░░ That s what when ░░░░░░░░ turn on the TV ░░░░░░░░ you wait for the ░░░░░░░░ That s what that ░░░░░░░░ all of us.”
