John Morales is an atmospheric and environmental scientist, serving as the first Hurricane Specialist at WTVJ NBC-6 in Miami, a forecaster for Currently, and climate change columnist for the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. He is also the founder and lead Certified Consulting Meteorologist at ClimaData, a boutique firm specializing in forensic meteorology as well as weather and climate consulting. During his 38-year professional career, Morales has served in the public (NOAA/NWS), academic, and private sectors of America’s Weather Enterprise. John Morales is an American Meteorological Society (AMS) Fellow and was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Silver Circle for exceptional and exemplary contributions in broadcasting for over 25 years.
