Benny Johnson: ‘We’re Fighting Jihadists Now,’ the One Thing People Did Like This Midterm Election Is Immigration
RUSH EXCERPT:
JOHNSON: “Yes, that’s absolutely right. Again, all of the polls show that somewhere between 60 and 70% of the people who voted against Republicans in this election cycle did so because, in part, the Iran war, and then also affordability. You can’t afford to live. People vote based on grocery prices, gas prices and home prices and all of those things have been exacerbated and gotten more expensive since the launch of the war in Iran. The point of these kinds of wars we’re going to fight them over there so we don’t have to fight them here, right? But we’re having to fight them here. We’re fighting jihadists in the Senate and in the house and we’ve people like Ilhan Omar and Abdul El-Sayed that will be serving and very powerful. So it’s really clarifying to get our priorities straight. Now, what is the number one thing that people did like this midterm election, what did the Republicans run on?”
