Alex Castellanos: ‘We Don’t Have a Republican Party Right Now,’ It’s Occupied by Donald Trump

EXCERPT:

CASTELLANOS: "We don’t have a Republican Party right now. It was -- that space was occupied by Donald Trump. Now, I think we should have one, every nation should, and the debate now is going to be what the Republican Party stands for. Can we build on Donald Trump’s substantial accomplishments and say, 'Here’s where we go next?' The world’s changed. It's A.I., the marketplace has changed, the workplace has changed. How do you apply freedom? How do we express our principles to fit this moment? I think Congress and the senator are going to have to do that, because Donald Trump, we’ve learned, does not change. There will be no different Donald Trump tomorrow than there was yesterday. So if we’re going to create a new Republican Party, the next Republican Party’s going to be up to candidates like DeSantis and Rubio and others."
