Maddow: Democrats’ Estimated House Floor Is Now 210 Seats
EXCERPT:
MADDOW: "Well, we can put some numbers to that right now, actually. We can actually update our characterization in terms of control of the United States house. Again, you need 218 seats in order to take control of the House, in order for Hakeem Jeffries to be the speaker of the House, and our estimate is that the Democrats likelihood of -- or the between the two parties, the likelihood of controlling the House, it leans toward the Dems, but you keep seeing the estimated minimum number of seats on the Democratic side creep up. The first time we made this characterization, it was a minimum 200 seats, then it was minimum 205 seats, now it is a minimum, minimum 210 seats on the Democratic side. They need 218 seats to control. But that number keeps creeping up on the Democratic side as we, again, characterize the overall House control likelihood as leaning towards the Democrats."
