AG Blanche on ‘Decoy Dan:’ The Judge Dismissed It on Procedural Grounds, She Did Not Disagree with the Underlying Lawsuit That This Is a Fraud
EXCERPT:
BLANCHE: “Yes. Yeah, of course. So, look, the judge dismissed that purely on procedural grounds. She did not disagree with our underlying lawsuit, which is that this is a fraud on the Alaskan voters. Procedurally, she said, well, I’m not sure there’s anything that we can do. We’re appealing that, we don’t agree with that. What our lawsuit seeks, our lawsuit does not seek to have the federal government take over the Alaska state system. It just seeks to preserve the ballots, to preserve the ballots in Alaska so that Alaskan officials, if they need to, can determine whether there was confusion that caused an unfair and unjust result. That’s perfectly legal under Alaskan law, which does not allow fraud to influence an election. And so, that’s what we’ve asked the court to do. And yes, it was dismissed on procedural grounds and we’re appealing that, and we’ll see what happens after today and whether we need to move forward without appeal.”
