Rep. Ro Khanna: We Do Have a Big Tent, Except for Haley Stevens

EXCERPT:

KHANNA: "We do have a big tent. The reason that people are upset with Representative Stevens is not her decision not supporting Abdul. It was that she went and endorsed Mike Rogers, and Mike Rogers has run one of the most Islamophobic campaigns there is. He has been trafficking in hate. He's been saying Abdul is part of the Muslim Brotherhood. So if Haley Stevens had just said, 'Look, my conscience doesn’t allow me to support Abdul,' that would have been one thing. But what people are condemning is her decision to align with Mike Rogers and the values that he has displayed in this campaign."
