NELSON: “And the legal defense fund actually is part of that lawsuit along with the NAACP, because we are so deeply concerned about what appears to be an end run around the law, not to have law enforcement at polling sites. So instead of saying that they’re going to be there in a law enforcement capacity, you have people who are law enforcement personnel serving as poll monitors. That right there tells you the desperation that surrounds this election, and we will be on the ground monitoring those poll monitors if we don’t get the relief that we’re seeking in the court.”
