Scarborough on Haley Stevens Endorsing Mike Rogers: ‘Don’t Really Understand It!’

‘El-Sayed’s campaign asked Stevens to stay away from its events for the rest of the race’

EXCERPT:

SCARBOROUGH: "El-Sayed did note the ad wasn't from his campaign and it's not something that he agreed with. It's kind of like the Muslim Brotherhood thing. I guess if you keep asking the Muslim guy the same question over and over again and you keep getting the same answer, you think if you ask him again it will make him look even more guilty. I don't know how many times white people want to make a Muslim in America say that they're not associated with a Muslim Brotherhood or that they disagree with the contents of an ad."
BRZEZINSKI: "But even more --"
SCARBOROUGH: "But he has done that. If this were a court, they would say asked and answered. But she thinks, I guess, oh, well, if I repeat it again, maybe there will be enough bigots in Michigan that will say, well, just by the fact that I'm asking the question over and over again, despite the fact it's not his ad. And so what I'm going to do is I'm going to then support the guy who has been a bigot toward Muslims through the entire campaign."
BRZEZINSKI: "Just to really make things clear."
SCARBOROUGH: "Don't really understand it, but you know."
