Mike Rogers Says Abdul El-Sayed Is the Only Candidate in the U.S. ‘Who Got a Congratulations on the Front Page of the Muslim Brotherhood’
TRANSCRIPT:
ROGERS: "He has lied about his relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood. Remember, he supported it through an op ed, sent it in, we have him on his own words supporting them. He has taken money from organizations that finance the Muslim Brotherhood. He has donors, including the former spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood. He has the only -- he is the only Senate candidate, or actually any candidate in the United States, who got a congratulations on the front page of the Muslim Brotherhood that said, 'Congratulations, this is exciting day,' was Abdul El-Sayed. That relationship, as a former FBI guy, is concerning. When you take money from people who support Hamas and Hezbollah, when you take money from an organization that’s directly supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, when you have family members that have been very openly supportive of the Muslim brotherhood, but you won’t talk about it, you won’t deny it. And then you add on top, can’t condemn a terrorist, a Hezbollah-sponsored terrorist who tried to kill 130 schoolchildren right here in the state of Michigan, I’m sorry, that is something we should be concerned about."
