GOP Rep. Lawler: I Don’t Support, Nor Agree with RFK Jr.’s Statement About Arabs

EXCERPT:

LAWLER: “I don't agree with that statement in the least. And, you know, I have a large Muslim population in my district. I was just at a mosque the other day meeting with a local imam who I've had a very good relationship with. The broader issue, of course, obviously is in pockets of the Middle East. We see in pockets right now of Western Europe, you know, and some of the challenges that we have seen with ideology which certainly has created consternation and concern. We've seen Hamas. We've seen Hezbollah. We've seen Iran and its terror proxy network destabilize the Middle East and other pockets around the globe. Combating radical Islam is of course paramount to keeping peace and stability around the globe. But making broad general statements about a Muslim population, I don't support that nor agree with it.”
