Sen. Warren Slams Appropriations Committee Chair Collins: Use Some of That Power to Make Sure Our People Have Access to Education

EXCERPT:

WARREN: “We have a problem now that the rich and the powerful are getting richer and more powerful. OK, newsflash, that's happened for a long time. But the rich and the powerful are now using more of their riches to buy more power in Washington. And that's what we're watching right where you sit. I watch it in the committee, I hold the hearings. We got the majority back. We're at least back in the fight. We are back in the fight in appropriations to say, by golly, you think you have power in appropriations? Then use some of that power to make sure that our people have access to an education.”
