Adam Schiff: ‘We Should Do Exactly What We’re Campaigning on,’ Focus on How to Bring the Cost of Life Down
RUSH EXCERPT:
SCHIFF: "Cost of living. We should do exactly what we are campaigning on, and that is focus on how to bring the cost of life, the cost of food and medicine and rent and more, how do we bring it down, make it possible if you are working hard in America you can provide for yourself and your family. That should be the focus of our positive legislative agenda, ending things like the tariff wars, the Iran war and other things that are driving costs higher. But also it should be the focus of our oversight to look into the rampant corruption because the cost of that corruption is higher prices for the American people. If the administration is approving mergers that reduce competition and raise costs for consumers, not because it’s in the country’s interest but because someone is making a buck, companies are paying the president’s family or they are paying to have their name on a ballroom, then the American people need to know and it’s going to be important to find out to bring costs down."
