Zelenskyy Says 9.5 Out of 40 Million Ukrainians Are Now Abroad: This War Has Pushed Them Out, ‘Can You Imagine That 20-25% Are Abroad?’
EXCERPT:
ZELENSKYY: "But it’s not about percent, it’s not about the land. And I always say, it’s not about territories, it’s about millions of people who left their houses. 9.5 million civilians are abroad now. This war pushed them out of Ukraine. 9.5 million. Can you imagine? If population of your country is 40 million, can you imagine that 20, 25 percent are abroad from the beginning of this full-scale innovation? So, you can imagine — so, it’s all about millions of people. And they lost their life, lost their houses, their jobs. And this is the face of Putin’s war. And that’s why when we speak about security guarantees and when we say give us, we hope that partners will give us security guarantees, which will not give possibility to Russia come again.”
