Scott Jennings on Trump Envoy Calling Vladimir Putin a ‘Humanitarian:’ The Result Was Sending an American Prisoner Home

EXCERPT:

JENNINGS: "The result of the day was that we got an American hostage, an American prisoner sent home. That‘s a good thing. And you don‘t know what conversations are going on with Putin behind the scenes, although I‘m sure they're happening right now to try to end this war. But look, I‘m not a diplomat. I‘m a pundit. And the idea that anybody would think Vladimir Putin was a humanitarian of any kind, he‘s not a humanitarian, he‘s a spy. He‘s an enemy of the United States. He‘s a terrorist. He‘s a killer. He‘s a murderer. He‘s not our friend. Humanitarian is the last thing I would call this guy. But what do diplomats have to say in moments? They have to say things. And I give him a little latitude on that."
