David Drucker Says that Ohio Republicans Call Ramaswamy’s Attack Ad ‘One of the Dumber Campaign Moves’ They’ve Ever Seen

‘There is some concern that it could impact the Senate race’

EXCERPT:

DRUCKER: “Well, I'll give you my analysis based on some calls I made. First of all, which is to say it could have ripple effects, but what I've learned over the last 10, 15 years, especially the last 10, is not to jump to conclusions. Because things that in the past would have been deal breakers, would have broken a campaign, don't always do so. But the first thing I did, Mika, was make some calls into Ohio. Because even though this seemed a little bit off the wall to me in terms of a campaign tactic, I just wanted to see what Republicans in Ohio thought, what people were thinking. And what people quickly said to me, first of all, was there's a backstory here. And so then you get the backstory. But second of all, they felt that this was one of the dumber campaign moves, if we want to just talk pure politics here, that they'd ever seen.”
