‘Doing Without’: Maryland Gov. Moore’s Team Ignores, Fails to Back Campaign Claims
EXCERPT:
COLLINS: "How are you making it work?"
DEBOE: "Doing without. You do without."
COLLINS (voice-over): "Louzetta Deboe, who stresses she is 90-years-young, has lived through good times and bad. She says now is different. It's worse. The Baltimore County resident says the cost of electricity, medicine, and food are outrageous."
DEBOE: "Everything's high. I mean, it's sky high and it don't come down. And when they say, 'Oh, it's coming down, it don't come down."
COLLINS: "Maryland Governor Wes Moore campaigning for another term says his administration has made energy more affordable. It is one of several claims as 'Spotlight on Maryland' has repeatedly asked Moore's campaign and the governor's office to explain for the past two weeks. For Deboe, affordability is measured by what remains after the bills are paid on a fixed income."
