JAYAPAL: “No, we don’t have that information, but we do know that a lot of them have been done with NDAs in place, non-disclosure agreements in place so that we can’t even get that information. We know that many of them have not gone through a permitting process. We know that they were given big passes by local governments around the country. And so, this is a massive problem. The only thing I would say that is, you know, hopeful to me, is that communities understand why these data centers are so bad on every level and why they are not long-term job creators. They are taking, going to take jobs away from people, even if there are some jobs involved in the construction. So, the energy around data centers and around AI, more broadly, the opposition is, I’ve never seen anything like it, Thom, in places across the country, red states, blue states, doesn’t matter where.”
