Daughter of Fort Hood Victim on Pentagon’s Plan to Livestream Shooter’s Execution: ‘Absolutely the Worst Thing You Can Do’

RUSH EXCERPT:

VANACKER: “I think that is absolutely the worst thing you can do. I think this has nothing to do with justice. Um this is becoming a tragedy. Turning into entertainment. And, you know, I, I can‘t imagine with social media how horrific it would be and how widespread it would be. Um, it is not something that you could just get away from and I don‘t think that this does not bring anyone‘s family back. Um, live streaming isn‘t a closure for any of us. Um, you know, I can‘t speak for most of the families, but I can say, you know, several of us that I‘ve talked to, like those who are prepared and ready and, and want this execution for their closure. Live streaming is just something that is not even on their radar that they think is okay.”
