Scott Jennings: You May Have Problems with Ken Paxton But ‘Talarico Is a Nightmare’

JENNINGS: "Number two, I think this all comes down to Republicans. It‘s a Republican state. On balance, a generic Republican beats a generic Democrat. The truth is, there are some Republicans who just don‘t like Paxton. They just have to be convinced to vote. I suspect they‘re going to vote for Abbott, and they have to be convinced to not leave that blank. And they may not like it. And that‘s the reason all this money is being spent, is to remind you that, look, you may not like him, Paxton, you may have a lot of problems with Ken Paxton, but Talarico is a nightmare when it comes to your own personal values. And if he goes to the United States Senate, he‘s not going to do anything that the majority of Texans would do. So the whole race, to me, comes down to whether the Republican Party can put the Republicans back in the boat."
