David Sanger on Damage to U.S. Bases in the Gulf: ‘It’s Revealed American Vulnerability’

SANGER: "It‘s revealed American vulnerability. Sarah. Right. We had these bases three, four, five bases that were, uh, spread around the gulf, including one in Bahrain that was supplying our navy. They were all badly damaged during the early days of the war. Uh, the result was that the U.S. now has had to evacuate them. And frankly, there‘s no visible plan to go rebuild them. They‘ll probably get rebuilt elsewhere. Uh, and then the threat of terrorism, which, you know, led to the understandable caution last weekend to get those b-1 bombers out of the airfield in Britain."
