Keith Ellison Says Republicans Mean to Cheat in the Midterms, and People Should Be ‘Ready to Protest, Take to the Streets’

‘And I’ll be right out there with everybody else’

EXCERPT:

OBEIDALLAH: “If they were to really do what he did in 2020 and somehow was able to not have Democrats sat in Congress and you’re going through the courts, do you think it’s on us and the people that we have to go to the streets, that we have to do protests in big ways —“
ELLISON: “Yeah.”
OBEIDALLAH: “— that we haven’t seen before?”
ELLISON: “Yes. I’m one who believes peaceful protest.”
OBEIDALLAH: “Mm-hmm.”
ELLISON: “First Amendment. But if they try to take our vote away, we should absolutely be in the street, and I’ll be right out there with everybody else. That’s what’s up. So yeah, people should be ready to protest, take to the streets.”
