Sen. Tillis: I Regret Supporting Hegseth Because of His Job Performance

EXCERPT:

TILLIS: "I regret it because of his job performance. You know, I was on a show yesterday, they said, 'Well, you confirmed him.' I said, ‘Yeah, I’ve hired people that I’ve fired a year later. Okay? I took the hiring recommendation from Senate Armed Services. All Republicans voted for Pete Hegseth. I used to be on that committee. That had weight. And I said, absent something that I could take back and convince members, maybe we should rethink this before his confirmation I’m going to vote for."
