Anand Giridharadas: Big Tech CEOs Are the Most Socially Obtuse, Socially Unaware People Yet They Are Redesigning Human Society

EXCERPT:

GIRIDHARADAS: "And you know, this week you saw these images of all these leaders in suits that didn‘t fit them well, maybe they can‘t afford nicer suits, at the White House. And what is so striking, you know, we‘ve all probably met some of these people. What is really striking, and I don‘t mean this in an insulting way, it is only because of their role, but these are some of the most socially obtuse, socially unaware people we have. Now, there are many jobs out there at which they would totally excel. I have no problem with these people designing video games. They are redesigning human society. They propose to redesign love and dating and marriage. They propose to redesign how we buy things. They propose to redesign when you start a business, how you can do that. They want in on the human condition, the entire human condition, and they are the least human people we have."
