Phil Collins: ‘Trump Sees Everything as a Deal ... It’s a Very Scary Time’
TRANSCRIPT:
COLLINS: "His whole manner is unattractive, even when he’s saying he did nothing. You know, I think that presidents -- because historically presidents have been eloquent and elegant, but you feel like even if you don’t agree with them, you still respect them But when someone like Trump is as nasty as he is, you end up feeling dislike for him. And I don’t — I think he’s — another thing I watched was with Robert De Niro, who feels passionately that America is in a terrible place and he hasn’t got a nice thing to say about any of the politicians really. It’s very -- it’s very scary with what’s happening that he — you know, he doesn’t see — he plays politics like a businessman. And it’s not like really a business at all, It’s diplomacy, and it’s — sometimes you can lose, but still come out winning, if you know what I mean. But he sees everything as a deal, won or lost. And I think it’s very scary time. And I wouldn’t — it wouldn’t surprise me, yeah, I’m sure he’s even tried, but it wouldn’t surprise me if if he just tries to overrule the two-term deal, you know, when American presidents can only serve two terms."
