Stuart Stevens: ‘Republicans Are Relearning That Gravity Isn’t a Regional Phenomenon’ as Trump Drags Down Candidates

‘You can’t go out and spend your entire career and dedicate an entire party to supporting Donald Trump and not expect there to be consequences’

RUSH EXCERPT:

STEVENS: "Yeah. Look, I think Republicans are relearning that gravity isn’t a regional phenomena. Trump is dragging everybody down. And, you know, it’s fascinating to listen to them talk about this. Like congressman hill, he says that there’s a problem because Trump’s numbers are bad, not there’s a problem because people are paying 80 bucks to fill up a car or because they can’t get jobs or they can’t get health insurance. And the fact that there’s this, you know, tremendous negative feeling out there about the country, they don’t talk about that. And you can’t go out and spend your entire career and dedicate an entire party to supporting Donald Trump and not expect there to be consequences.”
