Gov. Abbott: ‘Texas Must Be the Vanguard of Leading and Working with Our Border Control Partners’

EXCERPT:

ABBOTT: “There has been a slight uptick in those coming across the border. There’s some other challenges that we’re monitoring in the early stages of right now. You may have had, maybe seen reports, maybe published reports about a caravan that’s gathering together in the southern part of Mexico, and we’ve got to see what that caravan may be doing. Bottom line, we have to be prepared for whatever may happen on the border, and Texas must be in the vanguard of leading and working with our Border Patrol partners to make sure we’re doing everything we can to deny illegal entry in the state of Texas.”
