U.S. NATO Amb. Whitaker on Flydubai Incident: ‘It Has All the Indications of a Terror Attack’

EXCERPT:

WHITAKER: “Yeah, well, it has all the indications of a terror attack. I mean, you had what appears to be one pilot stabbed another pilot and tried to crash or use a plane as a weapon. And obviously, that — not only does that sow all sorts of mayhem on the plane, but then that leads to questions about the flying public. And that’s obviously the intention of terrorist acts. But, you know, we need to continue to be vigilant on this. It was great to see citizens respond. You know, we went through something very similar, as you know, on September 11th, 2001, 25 years ago. And so, this is a very familiar pattern that I think most of the flying public understands the stakes and they certainly sprung into action.”
